Cherry Limeaid and Puppy to go please....

So...."Dead Flowers".... What do ya think? I was so excited to debut a new
song on the ACM's! I wrote this song right before I left for Nashville to go
into the studio. I played it for Blake and he loved it, then we cut it and now
it's the first single off the new record. Whew! It all went so fast. I really
think this song sets the tone of the record perfectly. I have already gotten
some great feedback from fans. I wrote it from a love gone bad point of view but
a girl told my mom that the lyrics were exactly how she felt when her dad left
her. That really meant a lot to me and was such a different take on the song.
Where did it come from? That has been a frequently asked question in the
last few days. I had some flowers that I got for Valentines Day in a vase on the
kitchen table. I was going on the road so I had to throw them in the yard. They
were just laying there and it was a really sad image. The song came to me right
away and was one of those ones that kinda wrote itself. I really do love it and
I hope y’all do too. It should go to radio May 4th. The record is due out
in Sept. I'm still deciding on a title
Delilah didn't get to go to
Vegas this year-or I should say didn't have too. She is not a fan of Vegas so I
let her stay with my dad and my Nonny, you know, the Ya Ya. She's mom's mom and
she spoils her rotten. I mean more rotten than she already is. She makes her
eggs in the morning and chicken breast for dinner. When we go to get her after
she has been there she runs and hides!! Anyway that leads to my next important
news. I was at Sonic in Tishomingo last Sunday (March 29th) getting a diet
cherry limeade (my fav), which I do most Sunday afternoons. I was about to drive
away and out of nowhere comes this little dog. At first I wasn't even sure if it
was a dog. I got out of the car and she came right to me. She was covered from
head to toe in fleas and ticks. I mean hundreds. I started asking everyone
if they knew where she came from and they said no but that she had been there
for a week. A week! So, I put her in the truck and drove to Blake's. We
washed her in flea bath to try and help get rid of some of them and gave her
some food and water. The next morning I took her to the vet. Luckily they said
she was pretty healthy besides the ticks and that she was a year old. She only
weighs 6 pounds. Without hesitation I put her on the plane with me and we went
to Vegas. Well actually I put her on a plane with mom. She is the
friendliest dog I have ever met. I named her Delta Dawn (aka PACO. That's what
Blake calls her). I am not sure what is gonna happen next week when she meets
"D" but either way they are gonna have to learn to love each other!!
She has already been mingling with other celeb dogs! She met Ace, Carrie's
dog, backstage. They didn't seem to hit it off right away but maybe soon they
can a have a playdate.
She is the second dog I found in two days. The
first one was a puppy and I gave it to two little girls in our town. I just
don't know what is wrong with people. Please if you see animals on the side of
the road don't just leave em. They might turn out to be the pet of your
lifetime!!!
More great news: I am the new face of "Cotton" this year.
My commercial aired for the first time during the ACMs. Delilah had a cameo. She
played herself. She will be happy to sign "Pawtographes" at the fan club
party!!! You can check out the web campaign at fabricofourlives.com.
We are at rehearsals in LA right now working on a new show for the Kenny
tour. Only 10 days till it starts. We can’t wait to see y’all on the
road.
And don't forget.... love a shelter pet!!

Congrats on the new road dog! I'm sure Delilah will be jealous at first, but they are sure to become the best of friends! That's how it happened with my two anyway...
Enjoy the tour!

Dead Flowers is a very emotional song for me, brought tears to my eyes. Love it! Can't wait for the new CD. Everytime I read about another animal rescue you make I just become that much more of a fan of yours. I am in the stages of adopting my next dog. After my Lab, Rusty, of ten years died of cancer I adopted a standard Schnauzer from Laura at Loving Arms through Petco. He was perfect from the second he came into my arms. We had Snickers for two months. He was so loving and my grandson who was 1 at the time loved playing with him. His nature was so gentle and kind. Needless to say he was killed by a coyote that jumped our six foot chain link fence. It's been 1 year since and I think I can finally move on to another puppy. This time we are looking for a Lab and standard Schnauzer so he will be protected by a buddy. So a big thank you and hug for bringing Delta Dawn home. You're the best, in song and heart. Barbara

rescue all those animals. I love animals. Just as much as I love reading about your careers, your songs, new CD, I love your animal stories. They lift my spirits and some of your stories are just so darn
funny. You and your animals could have your own sitcom.

I so wish you and Kenny would come to Knoxville, TN or somewhere nearby. I actually drove 3 & 1/2 hrs. to see you and Blake in Kentucky last year. You guys were awesome, and I would love to see you again! You totally rock! It was my first time to see you in concert and you were just really awesome! I'd love to see you again - so come to East Tennessee!!! I'm sure the UT Civic Coliseum would be so happy to have you - and Kenny too, since he's from this area as well! Anyways...
I love 'Dead Flowers'! It's so amazing how you can take something from your soul and form it into a song. I can form stories and write - but not songs AT ALL
As far as Delta, I have a story so similar that its ridiculous. I found my little Rolo on the road and he's an Applehead Chihuahua. When I first saw him I actually thought he was a squirrel, he was so small he fit in the palm of my hand. I HAD to bring him home (I have a habit of bringing 'em home with me, too) and he has become my little best friend. Its amazing how much a pet can change your life and bring such joy. I truly salute you for all your work in benefiting animals. I have a dream of opening an Adopt-a Pet Center somewhere in my area. I love animals SO much, and I can't think of anything that would be more rewarding. If you have any ideas on how I might accomplish something like that...or...if any of you Ran Fans have any idea - please let me know @ Lindsey8654@yahoo.com (please only serious replies). This is really not about me - I just love animals and would love to be able to do my part in helping them...:)
Anyway, I wish you the best and I see a big, bright future for you and I know I can speak for everyone when I say, that you are an inspiration to us all and we can't wait for the new album!!!
Lots of love,
Lindsey

Me and my brother have a Sonic story that involves you!
We were on our way to see you at a fair in Lower Michigan. Our cable channel kept showing Sonic commercials so on our way to your show we took a detour! At the time, it was the only Sonic in Michigan and we just had to try it.
Well, long story short, we got lost on the way to the fair and missed our meet and greets!
So, I thought it was neat that you are also a fan of Sonic's!
