My mom now

I grew up in an abusive home and my mama never had it good, To say the least. She finally got up enough courage and left after 15yrs. I know it was the hardest thing she would ever do. She fought pretty hard to get ware she is now. And the first time i heard gun powder and lead it brout tears to my eyes it hit so close to home.Mom always was a firecracker and i watched her stand her ground many times against him. The lyrics
He wants a fight well now he's got one
He ain't seen me crazy yet
Slapped my face and he shook me like a rag doll
Don't that sound like a real man
I'm gonna show him what a little girl's made of
Gun powder and lead
Well it's half past ten
Another six pack in
I can feel the rumble like the cold black wind
He pulls in the drive
Gravel flies
He don't know what's waitin' here this time

they remind me so much of her No matter how bad he treated her she fought back!We could always tell if he had been drinkin. Our german shepherd even knew when shit was gonna fly he would hide in my room with me under the covers.Mom took the brunt of it so us kids didnt get it as bad.
my mom is happily married now and i have never seen her this happy in my life. So the next time u hear this song think of those women who are out there right now being beat on and think they have no place to go. And if you see it dont ignore it will never go away unless someone stands up and lends a helping hand. Never think they can just walk away its never that simple! My mom tried to leave in the begining but he held a gun to her head and pulled the triger he new it wasnt loaded she didnt. I cant even imagine goin through that and have 3 little kids in the next room. So this song has special meaning for me. My mom got out it took a really long time and she is one tough cookie. I luv her with all my heart she is my hero.

Judy is my little sister and I know how bad she had it there. We were not able to talk or see each other for so many years because her boyfriend at the time would not allow it. I always wanted to go get her and the kids and just take her away but until someone in that situation realizes what there in its hard to get out. I commend Judy for getting out and she is definatley a inspiration to all. If ever anyone is in that situation they just need to ask her about all her and the kids went through and they will soon learn there is a better life. She is very Happy now and I only want the best for her.

Judy is my big sister, i am also very proud of her. she battled the abuse for so many years now is free and happy. her battle now is with her health. but she knows she has her sisters behind her! I seen first hand some of the abuse he done to her and it wasnt pretty. but he just needs to remember satan has a special place in hell for him and i hope he enjoys every moment of his special torture in store for him in the end!! my sister is a true inspiration to all for her courage and determination she has shown and still shows to this day!

I'm so glad you think so highly of your mama. Your mama and I have a great deal in common. I left an abusive marriage after 16 years and it was the hardest thing I have ever done.
