Dear Miranda,

Since the day I saw you on CMT singing Me and Charlie talking I have loved every word you sing. I grew up in a small town about 45 min to the nearest city and my idea of a fun day was wondering through the grassy fields or playing in the muddy waters of Lake Kickapoo. (A very small town.)

The reason I am writing you is not because you have not only impacted my life but my childrens life too. I am 24 yrs old and currently raising my two nephews Kyle (8) & Justin (7) and they have had a VERY rough life. Both of their parents have addictions to drug and alcohol and they have witnessed some very violent and disturbing situations till the day they moved in with me. I was only 20 and had no idea of what to do, but I knew the safest place for them was with me.

It was a very hard and long path to get where we are today but it was all worth it. During the hard times I tried a lot to get them in good spirits, but only one thing would work. When they would get down or have a bad day the best way to cheer them up was to crank your cd WAY UP and sing our hearts out and dance all around. They loved every minute of it and it was the best way to get their minds off of every thing.

I love it because even today, almost 4 years later we'll be driving in my car and one of them will ask if we can listen to "our song". By the way "our song" is Kerosene. It's their favorite. When we went to the TX state fair last year we were sooo excited when you came out for the encore and played our song. We really love your music and cant wait to hear what's next to come.
