The first time I saw Miranda in concert was in early 2005 when she was touring with George Strait and she came to the Fargodome in Fargo, ND. I had watched her on Nashville Star and rooted for her the whole time, I knew she had that something special that no other aspiring country singer had. When I actually got to see her perform live at the Fargodome she blew me away. I mean it was so different than watching her on television, she is great either way, but live WOW! I immediatly signed up for her fan club, hoping I would get a chance to see her again when she came back to the Minnesota or North Dakota area. In November 2006 my chance came, she was touring with Dierks Bentley and did a show at the Xcel Center in Minneapolis and I got to meet her! She was so nice, she was down to earth and made me feel that she was just as excited to meet me as I was to meet her! In June 2007 she came back to Minnesota to do a show at the Winstock Country Music Festival and I got to go meet her again! She was the same way, down to earth and she remembered me! She said it was nice to see me again and I could not believe it, I have never met such a nice, down to earth country music singer like Miranda! In August 2007 I ended up taking a new job as a marketing assistant, I had been working in sales at a company in my hometown for about a year, however I have a college degree in sales marketing and management and I wanted a job that focused more on the marketing aspect. Well, after 3 months I ended up losing that position due to financial difficulties that my boss was having. I was devastated. I felt hopeless and did not know what to do, I have a part time job, but was very concerned about not having my full time job anymore. I listened to "New Strings" and "Mama, I'm Allright" about 100 times per day! Those songs really helped me pick my feet off the ground and start pounding the pavement. I ended up getting some temp work for about 3 months and then found a position, which did not have much to do with my degree, but helped me get back to some stability that a regular job gives you. I did not give up though, bound and determined to get back to sales and marketing I kept "truckin" and applying for sales jobs. I recently got a great job offer in sales, I have put in my notice at my job that I have been at for about 8 1/2 months and am so blessed to be getting back to what I love and what I went to college for. I feel that I owe that to Miranda, she has taught me that if you work hard and love what you do and have PATIENCE success will happen. I have seen Miranda in concert about 7 times now, and have met her 6 times, she inspires me to be positive and never give up. She is my inspiration, when I listen to her songs I feel that the words are part of my life, I've learned that "if you don't jump you'll never know if you can fly". Thank You, Miranda for the music you write, the music you sing and for how your music helped me in my life when I wanted to give up on my job search. You are my true inspiration!#1 Miranda fan from West Fargo, ND
