Being Ran Fan of the Month for January, is really mind blowing. I mean, I work so many hours, I feel that I don't have the adequate time to contribute to her forum or even to going and seeing her. But I try every chance I get. I have met her twice, once was at TGI Fridays in Tyler on January 6, 2006. I am sure most of you have heard that story by now, but basically, I had my camera with me and I got a picture taken with her. She was very gracious and amiable, and said that it would be no problem! So, of course, my life was complete after that meeting. Well, I got home, and my computer had a virus and it ended up deleting the picture from my computer and my camera! To say the least, I was upset. Very upset. So time goes by, and I am just waiting my turn, because I knew that I would get that picture, and get to see her again, I was determined. So, the show for Tyler comes up this year, and I knew that was where I was going to be. NO MATTER WHAT! I went to sign up for the RSVP's and well, it was full. My heart was broken. Then, I ended up convincing my self that I would be ok, that there would be other times, just not this time. So, I was on her forum and I noticed that there where fan club tickets available at her store in Lindale (of course I had to work the day of the rummage sale and VIP tickets sale, but if I wasn't going to get to meet her, I wanted tickets as close as I could!!!! PIT!) so I made a phone call to the store the young lady working there was so sweet (Thanks Catherine!) she told me to phone later and Bev would be there (of course that just blew me away, that I was about to talk to Ran's MOM!!!) so I did, I explained a little about my work situation and not being able to be there that Sat. and asked if there were other arrangements that I could make. Of course Bev came through, she welcomed me to come down to the store that afternoon and prepay and she would send me the tickets. The whole afternoon I felt like I was having some kind of out of body experience while I was in there, I could not believe how nice everyone was, and that Bev was right there. I told her the story about TGI Fridays and just kept talking (as you can see that is something I love to do) then by the end, I was so thankful and grateful for everything Bev had done, that well, I started crying.... sometimes we just can't fight those darn tears! When I was leaving, Bev assured me that I would get to see Ran! I was ecstatic. Beside myself the whole way home, calling everyone in my phonebook once again. Long story short...I got my picture, you can see proof of that right here, and well, I LOVE IT! I will never loose this one! The experience was more that I ever thought it would be. I thought I would just be treated like a normal crazy Ran-Fanatic, but I was treated like family. From Bev, to Rick, to the JuNkGyPsIeS to RAN and to all the Ran FANS!!!! Everyone acted as if they had known me my whole life. So, thank you to everyone... You all really have no idea how much you all mean. I wish I could spend more time with everyone!

I also wanted to take the time in this, to let everyone know why Ran means so much to me. Its not because people say we look alike and that I am just obsessed - her music and her heart, that's what means so much to me. You can get on the Forum, and look under Ran Fan's Membership Drive topic and read my post, and you will have more of an idea of what she has done for me, without even knowing it. Thank you to everyone, I am honored and grateful to be Ran Fan of the Month for January!!!

You can see just by reading above what a doll-b aby/sweetheart Jessica is. Who would not fall in love with her? My remembrance of our meeting is almost like hers with a few differences: We were getting ready for the Miranda's Closet Rummage Sale when Catherine told me about Jessica and her situation. Working in Tyler, she was afraid that she wouldn't get to the store in time to get PIT seats. We told her to come on over and pay. When we met her we all thought she was just precious! What she didn't tell you is this part: As you all know, we were selling clothes that Miranda had worn and sending the profits to benefit local dog rescue facilities. When she walked in we all took notice of how much she looked like Miranda. I was folding clothes and getting ready to hang them when it dawned on me that she might like to buy some of the clothing because she would be unable to come the day of the sale (the same day the tix went on sale.) I asked her if she would be interested in looking through them. The tears started! I picked out a pair of jeans that Ran had worn the entire time during Nashville Star. I'm talking WORN THEM OUT! It is probably the most worn pair of jeans she's ever had! We had also had Ran a couple of "burn out" logo shirts made as samples. She kept one and put the other in the sale. I handed them to Jessica. When she came out with them on it was me that had the tears. It looked too much like my baby standing there! What a treat. Of course, she b ought them-they fit like they were made for her. When I heard about the meet and greet being full I called a friend who was on the list and asked if he would step out for a special person. Jessica got her wish in Tyler and even wore the shirt (see above). Later, a long time Ran Fan came on to some financial hard times. He posted on the forum that he was not going to renew his membership right now until he got his finances together. I got an e-mail from Jessica asking how she could surprise him. I told her and she never mentioned it again-his kit just showed up. That's the kind of person she is! We should all be so proud to have her as a Ran Fan-she's our kind of people!! (And she smells REALLY good-she created her own perfume mix and it didn't go unnoticed by Luke OR Ran!) XOXOXOXO
