Well here goes the acceptance speech! HAHA.

Charlie and I are so honored to be selected as "Ran Fans of the Month." Charlie is not as active on the boards as I am, so he has not gotten a real good chance at building a relationship with some of the greatest people in the world. I, on the other hand have, and that's why I am so lucky. Charlie and I have gained some wonderful friends through Miranda's website, and we cherish them very much. Being apart of this fan club means much more to us than a couple of meet and greets, its about sharing a part in the success that Miranda has gained over the years. We recently attended the Hot Springs concert, where I guarantee 100_0575100_0575.JPGonly half of the audience had heard more than a couple of songs that Miranda has put out. That night was one of the greatest to us because by the time the show was over, Miranda gained half as many more fans than before. We love being involved and meeting everyone, Miranda is one of the most talented, sincere people we have ever met, the band is amazing, Bev is one of the most wonderful women we have ever known. We are just so excited to see what's in store for Miranda and the whole camp!

P.S. You know your ran fans when your getting married on October 25th, and your most excited for that day because its closer to the Dallas concert in November!

I met Chelsea and Charlie is a very unusual way. I found a puppy on the side of the road near my house. I named him Hobo. He was abandoned and starving. I posted on the forum that I was looking for a home and we found one in CT. We also found a wonderful Ran Fan driving team to transport him across the country. The problem was that a layover was needed for a few days as I was leaving on vacation prior to one of the pick ups being able to get Hobo. Jess Jess put me in contact with Chelsea who lives only a few hours away from me and she and Charlie stepped up to the plate and offered to foster him for a few days. During the trip to their home, I discovered that he was not a good traveler and did NOT enjoy the car ride. I mentioned this to them and said my goodbyes. As I was a little emotional and had become very attached I began to cry when I got into my car. Charlie hurried to my car side, opened my door and gave me the sweetest and most sincere hug. Chelsea came out to comfort me too and assured me everything would be OK. In all this we began to call and email back and forth about their two dogs and their acceptance of Hobo. After a few days I got the call I had secretly wished for: They said simply " We would like to keep him"! YEAH! We can't put him through the stress of traveling again and another adjustment period. They explained he had bonded with Troy (their huge Great Dane) and he would now be lost without him. Later, in Little Rock I got to hang out with them and had a blast. Like so many Ran Fans they seem like long time friends or family! They are really special people and I wish them the very best in their upcoming wedding. Two great people - three great dogs! Gotta love that.
