MuttNation Foundation Raises Big Funds

For the second year in a row, Miranda and Blake performed at a benefit concert in Tishomingo, OK. The event was a complete success and early sell-out. Nearly $70,000 was raised as attendees from all over Oklahoma and Texas came out for an evening that featured acoustic performances from Miranda, Blake and Clancy Davis (Blake’s cousin) as well as a cocktail party, dinner and live and silent auctions.

The event, hosted by MuttNation Foundation, was held in an effort to financially support the Tishomingo, OK and surrounding areas with specific attention to the local Veteran's program and the Tishomingo Animal Shelter. The shelter is currently under construction with the proceeds from last year's event. This year's proceeds are submitted to assist in maintenance and staffing of the shelter.

Additional organizations receiving funds from the event include:

·       Tishomingo ISD For Vocal Performance
·       The American Legion of Tishomingo
·       The Veteran's War Memorial
·       Murray State College Scholarship Fund
·       The Millborn Fire Department
·       The WW II Veteran's of Tishomingo
·       Tishomingo Splash Pad Water Park (Phase I)

On May 15th Miranda will hold her Third Annual “Cause for Paws” Benefit in Tyler, TX. The concert event and live auction benefitting The Humane Society of East Texas is Saturday, May 15, 2010 at the Villa de Felicita.

This year, the platinum-selling recording artist, 3x Grammy nominee and animal activist will bring together friends and family along with special guests Whiskey Myers, Kacey Musgraves and Nan Kelley for an intimate evening of fantastic music, delicious cuisine and a serene setting at the beautiful Villa Di Felicita.

Thanks to Miranda’s loyal Ran Fans and the East Texas Citizens, The Humane Society of East Texas has become a no kill sanctuary since the fundraiser began three years ago.

Good job Miranda and Blake. I love that animals are your #1 cause. They are so defenseless and look to us for love and affection and it shows just how good your hearts are. God bless you and our four legged friends. Life would NOT be the same without them.
